Team Notes:

● Garrett Smithley, who will drive the boom! MOBILE No. 15, will make his second

NASCAR Cup Series start at Talladega on Sunday. The 188-lap event will be Smithley’s

23rd start of the 2021 NCS season.

● Rick Ware Racing’s No. 51 will be driven by Cody Ware with the Nurtec ODT

(rimegepant) colors on board for his 27th NCS start of the season and his fifth start at

Talladega. Ware finished 19th in the 2020 fall event.

● Josh Bilicki will power the Junction Fuels No. 52 on Sunday. The YellaWood 500 will

mark Bilicki’s second start at the Alabama track after making his debut at the spring

event. It will be the 26-year-old driver’s 31st NCS start this year.

● RWR’s No. 53 entry will have 28-year-old Joey Gase behind the wheel with sponsorship

from Sparks. It will mark Gase’s eighth NCS start at the 2.66-mile superspeedway and his

12th start of the 2021 season. The Iowa native has a best finish of 17th at Talladega.

● Garrett Smithley will drive the Trophy Tractor No. 17 in Saturday’s 113-lap NASCAR

Xfinity Series race for his second NXS start of the season. It will mark his 140th career

start in the series. Smithley has two top-10 finishes at Talladega in the NXS – a

10th-place finish in 2018 and an eighth place result in 2020
